A RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF THE SERVICE
OF SAM STRAUSS, JR. , ON THE METROPOLITAN
AREA PLANNING COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, Sam Strauss, Jr. , has served on the Metropolitan
Area Planning Commission since March, 1962, and has devoted
much time and energy to the affairs and matters of said Com-
mission; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission is of
substantial importance to this community and the contribution
of Sam Strauss, Jr. , during his tenure has substantially aided
the City of Little Rock in matters over which the Commission
has jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, wishes to acknowledge the contribution of Sam Strauss,
Jr. , to the progress of this City by his service on the Metro-
politan Area Planning Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The outstanding service to this City by Sam
Strauss, Jr. , realized through his actions as a member of the
Metropolitan Area Planning Commission is hereby acknowledged
with gratitude by the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
