A RESOLUTION FOR NONDISCRIMINATION AS APPLIED
TO OPEN-SPACE LAND PROGRAMS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK PROVIDED FOR BY CIVIL RIGHTS ACT
OF 1964; SUPPLEMENTING RESOLUTION NO. 3246 ;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock
heretofore adopted Resolution No. 3246, authorizing the filing
of its application to acquire open-space lands under Title 7
of the Housing Act of 1961; and
WHEREAS Title 6 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the
regulations of the Housing and Home Finance Agency affectuating
the title provide that no person shall be discriminated against
because of race, color or national origin in the use of the
land proposed to be acquired;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. That the United States of America and the Hous-
ing and Home Finance Administrator be, and they hereby are,
assured of full compliance by the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
with regulations of the Housing and Home Finance Agency affectuat-
ing Title 6 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 inthe use, develop-
ment and occupancy of open-space lands.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to prepare and deliver certified copies of this resolution to
the appropriate office of the Housing and Home Finance Agency as
a supplemental resolution to Resolution No. 3246, authorizing
the application by the City of Little Rock for the acquisition
of open-space lands under Title 7 of the Housing Act of 1961,
which resolution was adopted December 7 , 1964.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and shall be construed together with
Resolution No. 3246 of this Board of Directors.
