3268 RESOLUTION NO . 3,268 A RESOLUTION FIXING THE DATE FOR A HEARING ON A PETITION TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLOSE A PORTION OF ROCK STREET, LOCATED BETWEEN BLOCKS 37 AND 147, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . WHEREAS, John A. Riggs, Jr. , Lita Young England, Union Life Insurance Company, and Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company have filed with the Little Rock City Board of Directors their Petition praying that a portion of Rock Street, located between Blocks 37 and 147, Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as more particularly described in said Petition, be vacated, abandoned and closed, and have alleged that they are the sole owners of the lands abutting upon same; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the 15th day of February, 1965, at 7:30 o'clock p. m. , in the Chambers of the Board of Directors is the date and time fixed for the hearing on this Petition. SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of Little Rock, Arkansas, give notice of such hearing by publication, once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks, in some newspaper published in the County and having a general circulation in the City, stating in said Notice the name of Petitioners, a description of the street to be vacated, and advising all persons that on the date named above, the Board of Directors will hear the Petition and determine whether said street should be closed.
