A RESOLUTION FIXING THE DATE FOR A HEARING ON A
PETITION TO VACATE , ABANDON AND CLOSE IZARD STREET
BETWEEN LaHARPE BOULEVARD AND WEST MARKHAM STREET,
AND A PORTION OF THE EAST-WEST ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN
BLOCK 277 , ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, BETWEEN
IZARD AND CHESTER STREETS IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock School District, Marie W. Linder
and Irene Hargett Vaughn have filed with the Little Rock City
Board of Directors their Petition praying that Izard Street
between LaHarpe Boulevard and West Markham Street, and a portion
of the East-West alley located within Block 277 , Original City
of Little Rock, between Izard and Chester Streets in the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas , as more particularly describedin said
Petition, and the Plat attached hereto, be vacated, abandoned
and closed, and have alleged that they are the sole owners of
the lands abutting upon same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Board of
Directors of Little lock, Arkansas :
Section 1. That the 15th day of February , 1965 ,
at 7:30 o 'clock p .m. , in the Chambers of the Board of Direc-
tors is the date and time fixed for the hearing on this Petition.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk of Little Rock, Arkansas ,
give notice of such hearing by publication, once a week for two
(2) consecutie weeks , in some newspaper published in the County
and having a general circulation in the City, stating in said
Notice the name of Petitioners , a description of the street
and portion of alley to be vacated, aniadvising all persons that
on the date named above , the Board of Directors will hear the
Petition and determine whether said street and portion of alley
should be closed.
