A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE
OF THREE HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($300.00) TO ERBY
KITCHENS AND LEE & COMPANY AS FULL COMPROMISE AND SETTLE-
MENT FOR DAMAGES TO A VEHICLE ARISING OUT OF A COLLISION
WITH A VEHICLE OWNED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock by Ordinance No. 10,949
established certain standards and procedures for the processing of
personal property damage claims against the City of Little Rock, which
ordinance, among other things, provided that the City Manager would
have authority to settle and pay claims not exceeding the sum of One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) ; and
WHEREAS, the claim of Erby Kitchens and Lee & Company exceeds
the One Hundred Dollar ($100 .00) limitation; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and City Attorney recouuuend that said
claim be settled for Three Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($300 .00) ; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires to authorize payment
to Erby Kitchens and Lee & Company of the said sum as full compromise
and settlement of their claim against the City for damages to Mr.
Kitchens ' vehicle, Lee & Company being the mortgagee thereof;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby approved the expenditure of Three
Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($300 .00) to Erby Kitchens and Lee & Company
as full compromise and settlement of their claim for damages to Mr.
Kitchens ' vehicle arising out of a collision with a vehicle owned by
the City of Little Rock which occurred on the 20th day of January, 1964,
in the 1000 Block on Broadway in the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. The money paid pursuant to Section 1 of this Resolu-
tion shall be charged to Account No . 5 .1 in accordance with Section 6
of Ordinance No. 10,949 .
SECTION 3 . The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby

authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant in payment
of the money approved in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
