RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTAIN CHANGES IN THE URBAN
RENEWAL PLAN FOR CENTRAL LITTLE ROCK URBAN RENEWAL
PROJECT ARK R-12 IN BLOCKS 39 AND 149 , ORIGINAL CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, AND BLOCK 17, POPE'S ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
hereinafter called "Housing Authority", has entered into a Loan and
Capital Grant Contract with the United States of America, dated July 3 ,
1962 , acting by and through the Housing and Home Finance Administrator,
for the execution of an urban renewal project in an area of the City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, known as the Central Little Rock
Urban Renewal Project, designated Project ARK R-12; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to have an Urban Renewal Plan which portrays
proposed land uses; and
WHEREAS, certain physical and economic changes have come about in
the Central Little Rock Project Area since the original Plan was prepared;
and
WHEREAS, said changes create a need for a Plan revision in order that
the Plan may be in accordance with sound principals of planning, design
and traffic circulation; and
WHEREAS, after review of said Plan, certain revisions are proposed
in the land use plan including land utilization and street rights-of-way,
as shown in the Amendment To Urban Renewal Plan For Central Little Rock
Urban Renewal Project ARK R-12, dated January 20, 1964, and attached hereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that:
Section 1. The Amendment To Urban Renewal Plan For Central Little
Rock Urban Renewal Project ARK R-12 , dated January 20, 1964, attached hereto,
be and hereby is approved.
Section 2. The Housing Authority file with the Urban Renewal Adminis-
tration of the Housing and Home Finance Agency said Amendment to the Urban
Renewal Plan.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately.

AMENDMENT TO URBAN RENEWAL PLAN FOR CENTRAL LITTLE ROCK
URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT ARK R-12 , JANUARY 20, 1964
The Urban Renewal Plan for Central Little Rock Urban Renewal Project
ARK R-12 adopted by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, by Resolution Number 2770 on December 18 , 1961, and on file in
the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Little Rock, Arkansas, in Resolu-
tion Book Number 3, Page 17 , is hereby amended as follows:
The Land Use Plan (Map URP-2) for:
All of Lots 1 through and including 6, and fractional parts
of Lots 7 through and including 12 , Block 17, Pope's Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas; All of
Lots 1 through and including 6, Block 149 , Original City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas; and Lots 7 through and
including 12 , Block 39 , Original City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas,
is hereby changed from Residential to Commercial.
Rock Street from Fourth Street to Capitol Avenue shall remain.open
as a public thoroughfare.
The Zoning Plan for the above-described property is hereby changed
so that said land may be used for commercial purposes.
Upon approval of this Amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan by the
Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, review by and recommendations of the Little Rock Planning
Commission to the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
and approval by said Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
this Amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan for Central Little Rock Urban
Renewal Project ARK R-12 shall have full force and effect following approval
of the Urban Renewal Administration of the Housing and Home Finance Agency.
