A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A TWENTY-FIVE DOLLAR ($25 .00) REWARD
FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF ANY PER-
SON OR PERSONS WHO SHALL HAVE WILLFULLY DAMAGED OR DESTROYED
TRAFFIC OR DIRECTIONAL SIGNS ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY IN THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain irresponsible persons in City have
persistently and systematically caused destruction to street signs,
traffic suns and other public signs located at or about the inter-
sections or street within .:his City and on public rights-of-way
throughout this City; and
WHEREAS , such acts of vandalism are difficult to detect- and
the perpetrators of such vandalism are difficult to apprehend; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that the persons re-
. sponsible for such damage from time to time should be identified
and apprehended; and
WHEREAS, it is felt that information concerning the identitT,
apprehension and conviction of such vandals and irresponsible persons
may be obtained through providing a reward therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, does hereby
offer a Twenty-Five Dollar ($25 .00) reward to any person who shall
furnish information relating to the arrest and conviction of any
person or persons who shall have willfully damaged or destroyed any
traffic sign, street sign or directional sign on or within public
right-of-way in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas .
SECTION 2. The reward shall be payable through the office
of the City Manager and any disputed claim or claims for a reward
shall be decided by the City Manager as the equities may appear.
SECTION 3 . This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption for a period of one (1) year from this
date unless terminated prior tnereto by action of this Board.
