A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR A HEARING ON A
PETITION TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLOSE EAST 7th
AND EAST 8th STREETS BETWEEN FERRY STREET AND
INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 30 , AND FERRY STREET BETWEEN
EAST 7th AND EAST 8th STREETS , IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS , Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
and Little Rock School District, Little Rock, Arkansas , have filed
with the Little Rock City Board of Directors their Petition praying
that East 7th and East 8th Streets between Ferry Street and Interstate
Highway 30, and Ferry Street between East 7th and East 8th Streets in
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , as more particularly described in
said Petition and the Plat attached thereto, be vacated, abandoned
and closed, and have alleged that they are the sole owners of the lands
abutting upon same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Board of Directors
of Little Rock, Arkansas :
Section 1. That the 6th day of January , 1964, at 7: 30
o 'clock p .m. , in the chambers of the Board of Directors is the
date and time fixed for the hearing on this Petition.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk of Little Rock, Arkansas , give
notice of such hearing by publication, once a week for two (2) consec-
utive weeks , in some newspaper published in the County and having a
general circulation in the City, stating in said Notice the name of
Petitioners , a description of the streets to be vacated, and advising
all persons that on the date named above , the Board of Directors will
hear the Petition and determine whether said streets should be vacated.
