A RESOLUTION COMMENDING PHIL STREIT, DISTRICT DIRECTOR OF THE
NATIONAL SAFETY COUNCIL, FOR VALUABLE ASSISTANCE IN THE TRAFFIC
PROGRAM OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PUR-
POSES .
WHEREAS, Mr. Phil Streit, District Director of the National
Safety Council in and for the district encompassing the State of Ark-
ansas and the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has rendered and given
unto the City of Little Rock invaluable direction, suggestions, in-
formation and advice concerning the many phases of a traffic safety
program; and
WHEREAS , as a direct and proximate result of the interest
and assistance given by Mr. Phil Streit there has now been appointed
and is functioning a traffic safety commission which is acknowledged
to be a basic step towards an adequate traffic safety program in the
City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the continued efforts of Mr. Phil Streit will be
appreciated in further developing a competent traffic safety program
and his close supervision, assistance and guidance is and will be soli-
cited towards such end;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Mr. Phil Streit, District Director of the
National Safety Council is hereby extended a unanimous vote of ap-
preciation by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas, for his past and present efforts in the development of a traffic
safety program of proper proportion in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
and his future advice, cooperation and direction is hereby solicited
and appreciated in advance.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
