RESOLUTION NO. 3,023
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO LITTLE ROCK TENT & AWNING
COMPANY, WALTHOUR-FLAKE CO. , INC. , AND SY MORRELL, D/B/A ARTHUR
MURRAY STUDIO, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CANOPY AT 505 LOUISIANA
STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. A franchise is hereby granted to Little Rock Tent&
Awning Company, Walthour-Flake Co . , Inc. , and Sy Morrell, d/b/a Arthur
Murray Studio, for the construction of a canopy over the Louisiana
Street entrance to the West thirty-eight (38) feet four (4) inches
of Lots 1 and 2, Block 74, Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, which
canopy shall extend nine (9) feet six (6) inches over the entrance as
aforesaid, shall be eleven (11) feet two (2) inches from the sidewalk
at its lowest point and shall extend not in excess of seven (7) feet
horizontally from the building to which attached.
SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock retains the right to revoke
this franchise at any time said right-of-way is needed for public
purposes and the said Little Rock Tent & Awning Company, Walthour-
Flake Co. , Inc. , and Sy Morrell, d/b/a Arthur Murray Studio, or assigns,
shall be required to remove all improvements placed thereon by them and
shall be required to pay all costs attendant with the removal of the
said improvements from said right-of-way.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
