RESOLUTION NO. 3,013
A RESOLUTION FIXING DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION TO
VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF EMERALD DRIVE, PROVIDING FOR
THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICES THEREOF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed by S. A. Franklin and Helen W. Franklin, his
wife, with the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 9th day
of April, 1963, asking that the Board of Directors vacate and abandon that portion of
Emerald Drive described in said petition and hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that the meeting of said Board of Directors at
7:30 P.M. on the 17th day of June , 1963, be fixed as the date and time
for the hearing upon said petition to vacate and abandon that portion of said street
described as follows, to-wit:
That portion of Emerald Drive extending from the east line of Lot 3,
WESTGATE ACRES ADDITION, now in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
extended southerly to the north line of Lot "D" in said WESTGATE ACRES
ADDITION, westerly to a line connecting the northwest corner of Lot "F"
and the southwest corner of said Lot 3 in said WESTGATE ACRES ADDITION,
and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing by publication once
a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. The
notice shall state the name of the persons signing said petition, describe the portion
of said street to be vacated and advise all persons that on said date fixed herein, the
Board of Directors will hear and determine whether said portion of said street shall be
vacated.
