A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR A HEARING ON
A PETITION TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLOSE A
PORTION OF THE BLOCK OF WEST SEVENTEENTH STREET
BETWEEN STATE STREET AND IZARD STREET IN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; ALSO, TO CLOSE
AN ALLEY RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH THROUGH BLOCK
236 OF THE ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
BETWEEN SIXTEENTH STREET AND SEVENTEENTH STREET;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, has filed with the Little Rock City Board of
Directors a Petition praying that a portion of the block of West
Seventeenth Street located between State and Izard Streets, Little
Rock, Arkansas, as is more particularly described in said Petition
and the photo copy attached to said Petition showing a portion of
the Bagley Map showing a portion of West Seventeenth Street, be
vacated, abandoned and closed, and also a North-South alley in
Block 236 of the Original City of Little Rock be vacated and closed,
and has alleged that it is the sole owner of the lands abutting upon
said portion of street and alley:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Board of
Directors of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That the 17th day of June , 1963,
at 7:30 o 'clock p.m. , in the chambers of the Board of Directors
is the date and time fixed for the hearing on this Petition.
Section 2. That the City Clerk of Little Rock, Arkansas
give notice of such hearing by publication, once a week for two
consecutive weeks , in some newspaper published in the County and
have a general circulation in the City, stating in said notice the
name of Petitioner, a description of the street and alley to be

vacated, and advising all persons that on the date named above,
the Board of Directors will hear the Petition and determine whether
said street and alley should be vacated.
