2926 zip"F , RESOLUTION NO. 2,926 A RESOLUTION COMMENDING HONORABLE G. W. BLANKENSHI P FOR EXCELLENCE OF SERVICE IN BEHALF OF THE CITIZENS OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, He' s always quite a `gentleman, with ready savoir faire; Empathy is his middle name, you know his heart is there; A champion of the little guy, he seldom will let down; Anc3 when he sees a lady cry, he really goes to town; A man of many talents, he, historian, poet, teacher; But if you've heard him pray, you' ll f snow he should have been a preacher; At praying this man has no peer, a linguistic engineer; He' s making up one now, alas, to haunt us year to year; Five years of service this man claims, of time and toil and sweat; Made many tough decisions, and was acting I ayor yet; He ' s done his part and more than that, his interest hasn't waned; Here' s hope the good work he has done, will ever be maintained; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The Honorable G. W. Blankenship, for whom this is the last meeting, is hereby extended a most heartfelt and genuine vote of thanks and apareciation shared by every citizen of the City of Little Rock for his continuous and excellent discharge of the trust imposed upon him as a member of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock. It is strongly felt by the remaining members of the Board of Directors and all who have had occasion to - 2 - work with Mr. Blankenship that the same characteristics of sensi- tivity, warmth, empathy and concern for others and sound integrity will be a source of personal inspiration to all of us for many years to come.
