RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, SETTING THE DATE OF HEARING
ON PETITION TO VACATE A STREET LYING BETWEEN
BLOCKS 1 AND 2 AND BETWEEN "B" STREET AND "C" STREET,
OAK GROVE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 17th day
of August, 1962, asking the Board of Directors to vacate and
abandon all of the street lying between Blocks 1 and 2 and be-
tween "B" Street and "C" Street, Oak Grove Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the plat of said
addition now appearing of record in Plat Book 1, Page 82, in the
office of the Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, subject, however, to any public utility easements
located in said street, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2891 the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, ordered that a hearing on the
said petition be held at the meeting of the Board of Directors
in the City Hall at 7:30 P. M. on the 1st day of October, 1962,
and directed the Clerk to give notice of such hearing in the
manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two (2)
consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and having general circulation in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, such notice was given, the hearing had and Ordinanc:
No. 11316 passed by the Board on the 1st day of October, 1962,
and
WHEREAS, in a lawsuit filed against the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, it has been alleged that said published notice was not
given for the full time required by law, which failure deprived
the Board of Directors of jurisdiction to pass said Ordinance, an.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires to overcome such
defect, if any, by publishing said notice for the full time
necessary to meet all lawful requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That a hearing on said petition shall be held at
the meeting of the Board of Directors in the City Hall at 7:30
of clock P. M., on the 17th day of December , 1962.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give
notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law by pub-
lication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a news-
paper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having general
circulation in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas .
