RESOLUTION NO. 2,870
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY SITUATED IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS ,
TO THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION IN
COMPLIANCE WITH ARK. STATS . 35-914
WHEREAS , the Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock
Municipal Water Works , by resolution duly enacted on the 6y1
day of J ly , 1962, has requested the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , to approve the conveyance of
the hereinafter described real property held in the name of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas , for the use and benefit of the
Little Rock Municipal eater Works ; and
WHEREAS , a portion of Arkansas State Highway No . 113 is
constructed upon said lands and said conveyance to the Arkansas
State Highway Commission is required under the provisions of Ark.
Stats . 35-914; Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That the Mayor and City Clerk of Little Rock,
Arkansas , be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute
a warranty deed on behalf of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas ,
conveying to the Arkansas State Highway Commission the following
described real property situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas , to-wit:
Beginning at a point in the center line of relocated Arkansas
State Highway No . 10, designated as Station 0 + 00 , which point
is also Station 11 + 00 of relocated State Highway No . 10,
State Highway Department Job No. 6554, and run thence North
19 degrees 30 minutes East 60 feet to a point on the Northerly
right of way line of the said relocated State Highway No . 10,
which point is the point of beginning of the right of way to
be described; thence North 19 degrees 30 minutes East 43 .44
feet to the beginning of a curve to the right having a radius
of 300 .19 feet ; thence along an arc of this curve 289 . 24 feet
to its point of tangency, said point being Station 3 92.68
of this relocation which is also Station 386 -E- 81 .96 of

North 74 degrees 43 minutes East along the center line of this
relocation, which is also the center line of said Arkansas
State Highway Job No. 1197, 420 .08 feet to Station 8 + 00 of
this relocation, which is also Station 391 ± 02.04 of said
Arkansas State Highway Job No . 1197 ; thence North 74 degrees 43
minutes East 28 .26 feet to a point on the West line of the
NE4 of the NE4 of Section 25 , Township 3 North, Range 16 West,
said point being South 299.6 feet from the Northwest corner of
said NE4 of the NE4; thence North 74 degrees 43 minutes East
171 . 74 feet to Station 10 00; thence North 74 degrees 43
minutes East 305 .12 feet to the point of beginning of a curve
to the left having a radius of 716 .2 feet : thence along an arc
of this curve 694.88 feet to Station 20 + 00; thence continuing
along an arc of said curve 273 . 24 feet to its point of tangency;
thence North 2 degrees 44 minutes West 115 .76 feet to a point
on the North line of the S2 of the SE4 of the SE4 of Section
24, Township 3 North, Range 16 West, said point being West
along said North line 348 . 7 feet from the Northeast corner of
said S2 of the SE4 of the SE4; thence North 2 degrees 44 minutes

of the SW4 of the NW4 of Section 19, Township 3 North, Range 15
West, said point being East 903 .8 feet from the Northwest corner
of said SW4 of the NW4; thence North 4 degrees 48 minutes West
126 feet to the point of beginning of a curve to the left
having a radius of 477 .46 feet ; thence along an arc of this
curve 443 .89 feet to its point of tangency; thence North 58
degrees 04 minutes West 125 .13 feet, said point being in the
center line of State Highway No . 113 and being Station 70 + 50
of this relocation and being Station 50 + 25 , Arkansas State
Highway No. 113 .

SECTION 2 . That this resolution shall take effect and be in
force from and after its adoption.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock
Municipal ,Dater Works has constructed an impounding lake in
Pulaski County, Arkansas, known as Lake Maumelle; and
WHEREAS, the construction of said lake required the
inundation and relocation of certain portions of Arkansas State
Highway No. 113; and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas State Highway Commission permitted
the relocated highway to be constructed by the City of Little
Rock and rights of way therefor were acquired in the name of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the use and benefit of the
Little Rock Municipal Water works ; and
WHEREAS, Ark. Stats. 35-914 requires that title to said
rights of way now be transferred to the State; and
WHEREAS, the legal description of the rights of way
have been ascertained by consulting engineers employed by the
Little Rock Municipal water works and approved by the State Highway
Director; Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the
Little Rock Municipal Water 'Works that the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be requested to approve the
conveyance of said rights of way to the Arkansas State Highway
Coirnuission upon the terms and conditions set forth in the copies
of the proposed resolution and deed attached hereto.
