2821 at RESOLUTION NO. 2,821 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF ONE HUNDRED THIRTY FIVE AND 50/100 DOLLARS ($135 .50) TO A. K. WATKINS AS FULL COMPROMISE AND SETTLEMENT FOR DAMAGES TO HIS AUTOMOBILE ARISING OUT OF A COLLISION WITH A VEHICLE OWNED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES . WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, by Ordinance No . 10,949 , established standards and procedure for the processing of personal property damage claims against the City of Little Rock, which. Ordinance, among other things, provided that the City Manager would have authority to settle and pay claims not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100 .00) ; and WHEREAS, the claim of A. K. Watkins exceeds the One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) limitation; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and City Attorney recommend that said claim be settled for One Hundred Thirty Five and 50/100 Dollars ($135 .50) ; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires to authorize payment to A. K. Watkins of the said sum as full compromise and settle- ment for damages to his vehicle; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby approved the expenditure of One Hundred Thirty Five and 50/100 Dollars ($135 .50) to A. K. Watkins as full compromise and settlement for damages to his vehicle arising out of a collision with a vehicle owned by the City of Little Rock, which occurred on February 7, 1962, in the 100 Block on South Chester Street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas . SECTION 2. The money paid pursuant to Section 1 of this Resolution shall be charged to Account No . 5 .1 in accordance with Section 6 of Ordinance No . 10,949 . SECTION 3 . The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant for the payment of money approved in Section 1 hereinabove. SECTION 4.
