A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO EXECUTE
A CERTAIN PLAT AND BILL OF ASSURANCE FOR
THE PURPOSE OF DEDICATING CERTAIN PROPERTY
AS A PUBLIC STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, it appears that the City of Little Rock owns a
certain strip of land in fee fifty (50) feet in width running
through the West Half (W. 2) of the Sauthea*t Quarter (SEA)
of Section 35, Township 2 North, Range 13 West, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, which strip of land is held for the use of the Little
Rock Municipal Water Works, and
WHEREAS, it appears that International Paper Company, as
owner of part of the W2 of the SE'; of said Section 35, desires
to subdivide said real property and to that end has caused a
Plat and Bill of Assurance to be prepared describing and dedicating
certain property as public streets, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the above described strip of land
owned by the City of Little Rock, as more particularly described
and located on said plat, is proposed to be utilized as a public
street, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock
Municipal Water Works has by proper action agreed to the dedica-
tion of such strip of land owned by the City of Little Rock as
a public street, as designated on said plat. , and
WHEREAS, it is found that the utilization of such strip of
land as a public street will be in the best interests of the City
of Little Rock, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
1. The Mayor is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to
execute the foregoing Bill of Assurance and Plat on behalf of the
City of Little Rock, as owner of that certain strip of land desig-
nated on said plat, to the end that such part thereof as shown
thereon as Louwanda Drive and Loretta Lane shall be dedicated as
public streets, and further, to execute such other instruments of
conveyance or otherwise as may be desirable or necessary to the
end of establishing the boundaries and location of such strip of land.
2. The Mayor is further authorized, empowered and directed to
execute such other instruments as may be desirable or necessary to
protect the rights of the Little Rock Municipal Water Works in said
strip of land as may be requested by Little Rock Municipal Water Works.
3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect frwm and
after its date of adoption.
