A RESOLUTION TO PUBLICLY EXPRESS APPRECIATION TO THE
HONORABLE WERNER C. KNOOP, MAYOR, FOR HIS LEADERSHIP
OF THE CITY MANAGEMENT FORM OF GOVERNMENT IN THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, as a member of the original Board of Directors
elected to office under the City Management Form of Government
that came into office in November, 1957, Werner C. Knoop was
chosen Mayor; and
WHEREAS, since 1957, the said Werner C. Knoop has un-
selfishly given of his time, his energies and his talents toward
the realization of an honest and representative form of govern-
ment in this City with progress as a central theme; and
WHEREAS, the progress which has come about through the
years since 1957, and which will doubtless continue into the
years ahead, is due in great measure to the imagination, energy
and courage of said Werner C. Knoop; and
WHEREAS, his fellow Board Members desire at this time to
publicly express their appreciation for the job Mayor Werner
C. Knoop is doing and doubtless will continue to do ;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors does hereby express
most sincere appreciation to the Honorable Werner C. Knoop,
Mayor of the City of Little Rock, for his leadership in bringing
to the people of the City of Little Rock progressive and honest
representative government.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
