2730 RESOLUTION NO. 2,730 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO CONVEY BY A QUITCLAIM DEED CERTAIN CITY PROPERTY TO PRUITT HIDE & FUR COMPANY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock owns certain property hereinafter described and did, according to law, call for bids thereon, did advertise for same; and WHEREAS, the bid of Pruitt Hide & Fur Company in the amount of Two Hundred Four and 50/100 Dollars ($204.50) cash was the highest responsible and responsive bid submitted; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock to sell and convey said property by Quitclaim Deed to Pruitt Hide & Fur Company; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS : SECTION 1. The bid of Pruitt Hide & Fur Company in the amount of Two Hundred Four and 50/100 Dollars ($204.50) for the purchase of certain city owned property, hereinafter described, is hereby accepted. SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby autho- rized and directed to execute a Quitclaim Deed in favor of Pruitt Hide & Fur Company conveying unto the said Grantee all of the interests of the City of Little Rock in and to the said property, which Quitclaim Deed, including the description of the said property, is in form and substance as follows : Q U I T C L A I M D E E D WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, on the day of , 1961, by Resolution No. , authorized and directed the Mayor, together with the City Clerk, to convey to Pruitt Hide & Fur Company, property in the City of Little Rock, hereinafter described: NOW THEREFORE, I, W. C. KNOOP, Mayor, and I , PAULINE G. BEESON, City Clerk of Little Rock, a municipal corporation, organized, chartered and existing under authority of the laws of the State of Arkansas, for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Four and 50/100 Dollars ($204.50) , cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, acting for and in behalf of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, do hereby convey, alien and quitclaim unto Pruitt Hide & Fur Company, its successors and assigns forever, the following lands lying in the City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to-wit: A Part of Commerce Street as platted and the accretion thereto lying East of and adjacent to the East 75 feet of Lot 1, Block "A", Pope ' s Addition, Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows : Begin- ning at a point on the West right of way line of Commerce Street, said point being 0. 35 feet North of the Southeast corner of the East 75 feet of Lot 1, Block "A", Pope' s Addition; thence North along the said West right of way line of Commerce Street for 39.65 feet to the Northeast corner of the said East 75 feet of Lot 1, as platted; thence continue North along the said West right of way line of Commerce Street projected for 40. 55 feet to a point on the North side of an existing stone foundation; thence East along the North side of the existing stone foundation for 3. 1 feet; thence in a southerly direction along the East side of the existing stone foundation for 41.4 feet, more or less, to a point on the Old River bank, as shown on the plat of Pope ' s Addition, Little Rock, Arkansas; thence continue in a southerly direction along the East side of the existing stone foundation for 38. 8 feet ; thence in a westerly direction along the South edge of the existing stone foundation for 2. 0 feet to the point of beginning containing 204.5 square feet more or less. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE SAME unto Pruitt Hide & Fur Company, and unto its successors and assigns forever, together with all and singular, the tenements, appurtenances and hereditaments thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. - 2 - IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Little Rock, a municipal corporation, has caused these presents to be signed by its Mayor, its Clerk and its corporate seal to be herewith affixed, all in accordance with and pursuant to a Resolution of its Board of Directors, duly and regularly adopted, a copy of which is hereto attached and made a part hereof, this day of , 1961.
