2707 RESOLUTION NO. 2,707
A RESOLUTION WAIVING CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS OF ORDINANCE
NO. 10,843 PURSUANT TO AUTHORITY GRANTED IN ORDINANCE
NO. 10,843, AS AMENDED; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the United States of America is constructing and
has constructed a building located on the block between West 4th
Street and West Capitol Avenue and Gaines & State Streets; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide adequate parking facilities
for the employees and invitees on the premises, it is found to
be necessary to permit the construction and location of a planter
box and hedge in the public right-of-way on the South side of
4th Street between Gaines & State Streets according to plans and
specifications now on file with the Director of Public Works of
the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the waiver of the provisions of Ordinance No . 10,843
does not create a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The United States of America is hereby authorized
to construct and locate a planter box and hedge on the public right-
of-way on the South side of 4th Street between Gaines & State Streets
in the City of Little Rock according to plans and specifications
therefor filed with the Director of Public Works of the City of
Little Rock.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon the date of effectiveness of Ordinance No. 11, 189 ,
same being an Ordinance amending Paragraph A, Section 10 of Ordinance
No. 10,843 .
