RESOLUTION NO. 2,678
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT ON BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE
OF CERTAIN MATERIALS NEEDED TO CONSTRUCT AND INSTALL GLASS
DISPLAY CASES AT THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM FOR THE BOB
BATTY GLASS COLLECTION; PROVIDING THAT THE SAID MONEY
SHALL BE PAID FROM THE PARRS & AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION FUND,
PROJECT 21; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation for bids for the purchase of certain
materials needed to construct and install Glass Display Cases at
the Natural History Museum for the Bob Batty Glass Collection
have been legally published; and
WHEREAS, bids have been received and opened pursuant to
said invitation; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock
desires to award a contract on said bids to the Allied Glass
Company, the lowest responsible bidder therefor;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. A contract for the purchase of the following
materials needed to construct and install Glass Display Cases
at the Natural History Museum for the Bob Batty Glass Collection
is hereby awarded to Allied Glass Company in the amount shown
below:
ITEM AMOUNT
Nine (9) Pieces of Plate Glass,
One Hundred Sixteen (116) Pieces of
Crystal Glass,
Twenty-two (22) Plate Glass Sliding
Doors,
Tracks and Locks for Installation, and
Labor for Installation of Glass Display Cases . . $2,670.53
SECTION 2. The purchase price authorized in Section 1 hereof
shall be paid from the Parks & Airport Construction Fund, Project
21.
SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are

hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant
or warrants in payment of the price herein identified in Section
1.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
