A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING TO THE LITTLE RUCK DIVISION OF
WESTINGHOUSE CORPORATION, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS' SINCERE
GRATITUDE FOR THEIR RESIDENCY IN THE CITY, AND LONG STAND-
ING WELt,OmE TO WESTINGHOUSE uORPORAT1ON TO THIS COMMUNITY
AND TO THE STATE OF ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Westinghouse corporation has been a
member of the community of Little Rock for the past decade, being
at all times a good citizen; providing stability to our business
community; providing employment to hundreds of our citizens;
supporting in all respects those projects which make Little Rock
a better community, and
WHEREAS, the city manager Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock is cognizant of all these things and other
matters affecting the community in general and the Westinghouse
Corporation in particular, and
WHEREAS , the Westinghouse corporation has shown its
faith in Little Rock as a place to do business, as a healthful
business climate, and
WHEREAS, certain officials of Westinghouse corp-
oration have been criticized for their particular business
methods and certain divisions of Westinghouse corporation
have been the target for punitive action by governmental
agencies; NOW THERFt+'ORE
BE 1T RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock does hereby express to the Little Rock
division of Westinghouse corporation, the appropriate officers
thereof, and the appropriate officers of the entire corporation
the Board' s sincere gratitude for their residency in our City,
the Board' s sympathy and understanding of the Corporation' s
legal difficulties, and the Board' s renewal of its long stand-
ing welcome to Westinghouse Corporation to this community and
to the State of Arkansas.
