2654 RESOLUTION NO. 2,654
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TO
BARRICADE A PORTION OF BRAGG STREET AT ITS DISCRETION; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , the Arkansas State Highway Commission and the
United States Bureau of Public Roads has expressed an intention
to construct a roadway over a certain portion of Bragg Street
in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, said roadway may because of its construction con-
stitute a traffic hazard and endanger the lives and safety of
citizens of the Cityd Little Rock and the public generally; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, that the State Highway Department
be authorized to take such precautions as are necessary to pro-
tect the citizens of Little Rock and the public generally from
any hazard in connection with traffic on Bragg street during and
after the construction of said roadway;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The State Highway Department is hereby authorized
to exercise its sound discretion in protecting the citizens of Little
Rock and the public generally from traffic hazards in connection
with the construction of a roadway running in a general North-� outh
direction on, at, or about Bragg Street located in or about Block
41, Bragg ' s Second Addition, and said Highway Department is specifi-
cally authorized, upon the commencement of construction of said road-
way, to barricade, or otherwise obstruct, vehicular traffic on a
portion of Bragg Street described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 6, Block 41,
Bragg' s Second Addition; thence Southwesterly along
a curve with a radius of 382 feet for 15 feet to a
point; thence Southwesterly along a curve with a 70
foot radius to a point 60 feet West of and 12 feet
North of the Southwest corner of said tot; thence

South 12 feet; thence East 60 feet; thence North 50
feet to the point of beginning,
and to deny access to said portion of Bragg Street to vehicular
and pedestrian traffic.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
