2641 RESOLUTION NO. 2,61;1 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FOUR HUNDRED NINETY_.SIX AND 80/100 DOLLARS ($496.80) TO RAYMOND P. RORIE, INDIVIDUALLY AND AS NATURAL GUARDIAN AND NEXT FRIEND OF AND FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF LAVERNE RORIE AND LOUISE RORIE, MINORS, AND MRS.GUILA RORIE AS FULL COMPROMISE AND SETTLEMENT FOR DAMAGES AND/OR PERSONAL INJURIES ARISING OUT OF A COLLISION WITH A VEHICLE OWNED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, by Ordinance No. 10,949, established standards and procedure for the processing of personal property damage claims made against the City of Little Rock, which Ordinance provided, among other things, that the City Manager would have authority to settle and pay claims not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) ; and WHEREAS, the claim of Raymond Rorie, et al. , exceeds the One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) limitation; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and City Attorney recommend that said claim be settled for Four Hundred Ninety Six and 80/100 Dollars ($496.80) as full compromise and settlement for damages to the Plaintiff' s automobile and personal injuries sustained by the Plaintiffs; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby approved the expenditure of Four Hundred Ninety Six and 80/100 Dollars ($496.80) to Raymond P. Rorie, individually and as natural guardian and next friend of and for the use and benefit of Laverne Rorie and Louise Rorie, minors, and Mrs. Guila Rorie as full compromise and settlement for damages to the Plaintiff' s automobile and personal injuries sus- tained by the Plaintiffs arising out of a collision with a vehicle owned by the City of Little Rock, which occurred on September 13, 1959, at Fourth and Broadway Streets, in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. - 2 - SECTION 2. The money paid pursuant to Section 1 of this resolution shall be charged to Account No. 5.1 in accordance with Section 6 of Ordinance No. 10,949. SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant for the payment of money approved in Section 1 hereinabove. SECTION 4.
