2454 RESOLUTION NO. 2454
A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE REMOVAL AND RAZING OF A CERTAIN
STRUCTURE ON LOT 9 , BLOCK 128, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , the building and structure on Lot 9 , Block 128 , Original
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has become run-down, dilapidated, unsafe,
unsightly, dangerous, obnoxious and detrimental to the public welfare
. of the citizens of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS , the structure on the said premises is heavily damaged
by fire to the extent that it is wholly uninhabitable and is without
adequate plumbing fixtures, walls, roof, windows, screens, electrical
wiring, and other necessary facilities; and
WHEREAS, the condition of such property constitutes a serious fire
and health hazard to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and unless
immediate action is taken to remedy this situation by removing and razing
said building, there is a great likelihood that the surrounding property
may be destroyed by fire originating in such unsafe and hazardous struc-
ture, and also that such structure is without sanitary facilities and
as such is unsafe and hazardous and a breeding place for rats and other
rodents, and other disease germ carriers and of diseases, and is unsafe
for human habitation, such building constitutes a serious hazard to the
health and safety of the citizens of Little Rock and should be removed
and razed for the purpose of eliminating such hazards;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the owner or owners of Lot 9 , Block 123, Original
City of Little "lock, Arkansas, are hereby ordered to remove or raze
the building upon said property within sixty (60) days from the ef-
fective date of this resolution .
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is hereby directed to take such
action and to institute such legal proceedings against such person
as it may be necessary to do for the purpose of and in order to enforce

the provisions of this resolution and to remedy the dangerous and •
unsightly conditions, the health conditions and the fire hazards
which said property constitutes.
SECTION 3 . Any person violating the provisions of this resolu-
tion snail upon conviction thereof be fined in any sum not less than
Five Dollars ($5 .00) nor more than Fifty Dollars ($50 .00) and each
twenty (20) day period such violation continues shall be considered
a separate offense.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .
