2428 RESOLUTION NO . 2428 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOW BID OF JAMES H. CONE, INCORPORATED, IN THE AMOUNT OF TWENTY THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED EIGHT SIX AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($20,436.00) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A GIRAFFE BUILDING AND ANIMAL SHELTERS AT THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL 400; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OI' THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, WITH THE SAID JAMES H. CONE, INCORPORATED, FOR THE SAID PROJECT; AUTHORI- ZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO EXE- CUTE THE NECESSARY WARRANTS THEREFOR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES . WHEREAS, invitation for bids for the construction of a Giraffe Building and animal shelters at the Little Rock Municipal Zoo have been legally published; and WHEREAS, bids have been received and opened pursuant to said ad- vertisement; and WHEREAS, the bid of James H. Cone, Incorporated, is the lowest bid submitted therefor; and WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock desires to award the contract for the said project to the said James A. Cone, Incorporated; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION i. The low bid of James H. Cone, Incorporated in the amount of Twenty Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Six and No/l00 Dollars ($20,486.00) for the construction of a giraffe building and animal shelters at the Little Rock Municipal Zoo is hereby accepted. SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Little Rock an Agree- ment with James H. To Ensure prompt , faithful , sufficient and complete performance of this Contract eee Secord Party shall make a bond in the full amount of the contract price to insure the faithful per- formance of the contract under all cordttions laid down h-:- it and the Plans and Specifications atached hereto covering equipment furnished, labor employed, workmanship , material , time of completion and delivery. Said bond snail hold and keep said First Party harmless and free from all liens, claims , patent infringement, liability, demands and expenses of every kind and nature for any accident or injury to any person or persons or property, occasioned by or resulting from the prosecution of toe work by the Second Party.
