2350 RESOLUTION NO . 2350 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO EXECUTE AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS , FOR THE PURCHASE BY THE SAID CITY FROM THE SAID HOUSING AUTHORITY OF CERTAIN PROPERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TO BE USED BY THE CITY AS A FIRE STATION SITE; AUTHORI- ZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF SIXTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($16,500.00) PAYABLE TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK IN PAYMENT FOR THE SAID FIRE STATION SITE; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY WARRANT IN PAYMENT THEREFOR; AND FOR OTHER PUR- POSES . WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock has by Resolution No . 2267 indicated its desire to buy certain lands hereinafter described from the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to be used as a fire station site; and WHEREAS , the City proposes to buy the property from the said Housing Authority for the sum of Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($16,500 .00) cash, said price having first been approved by the City pursuant to the provisions of Resolution No. 2267 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and WHEREAS, the City desires to make an offer to the said Housing Authority for the purchase of said land in order that the offer may be accepted by the said Housing Authority; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Buyer will pay Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($16,500.00) for said lands in oash within ono hundred and twenty (120) days after the acceptance of this offer by Seller, on date of closing purchase. 3. Conveyance of said lands shall be made by Special Warranty Deed, subject to all recorded restrictions and ornaments and to those conditions set forth horoinaftor to which Beyer expressly airless (a) To construct a Fire Station on said lands. There is hereby authorized and approved the ex- penditure of Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($16,500.00) payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock in payment of the purchase price of the property described in Section 1 hereinabove. Said money shall be paid from the 1958 Bond Construction Funds appropriated by Ordinance No . 10,921 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas . SECTION 3 . The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant in payment of the purchase price of the said property. Provided, however, that no warrant shall be issued until evidence of good and marketable title to the property described herein is presented to and approved by the City Attorney. SECTION 4.
