A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE
OF CERTAIN SUMS OF MONEY AGGREGATING $184,000 PAYABLE
FROM THE 1953 BOND CONSTRUCTION FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE
OF PURCHASING CERTAIN PROPERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED
TO BE USED AS A SITE FOR THE ERECTION OF A POLICE AND
COURTS BUILDING; AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDI-
TURE OF $2,000 PAYABLE TO WILLIAM PUTNAM AS REAL ESTATE
COMMISSION IN CONNECTION WITH THE ACQUISITION OF THE
SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDING THAT ALL OF THE SAID MONEYS
SO AUTHORIZED AND APPROVED SHALL BE PAID FROM THE
PUBLIC BUILDINGS CONSTRUCTION FUND, SAID MONEYS HAVING
PREVIOUSLY BEEN APPROPRIATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 10,921
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, the City by Ordinance No. 10,921 has appropriated
money from the 1953 Bond Construction Funds for the purpose of
acquiring a site for and constructing a Police and Courts Build-
ing within the City, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires to authorize and
approve the payment of certain sums hereinafter set out for
the acquisition of a site for the said Police and Courts Building,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby authorized and approved the
expenditure of certain separate sums of money for the purchase
of certain tracts of real property payable to the persons, firms
or corporations and in the amounts set opposite each described
tract as follows:

along the west line of said Lot 6 which is
the east line of North Gaines Street a dis-

SECTION 2. There is hereby authorized and approved the

SECTION 3 . Provided, however, that no sum of money authorized
in Section 1 or Section 2 hereof shall be paid until evidence of
good and marketable title to the property described therein is
presented to and approved by the City Attorney.
SECTION 4. The moneys authorized and approved in Section 1
and Section 2 herein shall be paid from the Public Buildings
Construction Fund.
SECTION 5 . This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
