RESOLUTION NO . 2312
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE ``ROBERT G. WALKER MEMORIAL
TENNIS CENTER FUND` ; PROVIDING FOR METHOD OF CONTRIBUTION
TO SAID FUND; PROVIDING THAT THE CONTRIBUTIONS THEREFOR
SHALL BE SEPARATED COMPLETELY FROM OTHER FUNDS OF THE CITY
AND BE USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING
A TENNIS CENTER TO BE KNOWN AS THE '''ROBERT G. WALKER
MEMORIAL TENNIS CENTER'` ; 'aND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Tennis Association has indicated
its desire to erect a tennis center as a memorial to the late
Robert G. Walker to be known as the Robert C. Jalker Memorial
Tennis Center` ; and
WHEREAS , various individuals and organizations have in-
dicated their desire to contribute to such a memorial; and
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock
believes that the City of Little Rock would benefit by the
establishment of a Tennis Center, which would increase the
recreational opportunities for the citizenry of the said City;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established the Robert G.
Walker Memorial Tennis Center Fund' . This fund shall be com-
posed of contributions from any person or organization desiring
to make contributions thereto . All moneys received in the said
Fund shall be held by the City Treasurer and such funds shall
be separated completely from the other funds of the City.
SECTION 2. Any person, firm, corporation or group de-
siring to contribute to the said Robert G. Walker Memorial
Tennis Court Fund, herein established, shall be privileged to
do so , and may make such contribution to the Fund in care of
the City Treasurer, City Hall, Markham & Broadway Streets, Little
Rock, Arkansas .
SECTION 3 . All contributions to the said Robert G. Walker
Memorial Tennis Center Fund shall be used solely for the construction
of a Tennis Center to be located in War Memorial Park, which Tennis

Center shall include tennis courts and a building therefor.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
