2267 RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION REGARDING ACQUISITION BY THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS OF CERTAIN LAND IN THE
LIVESTOCK SHOW AREA PROJECT, ARK R-2, AS A SITE
FOR A FIRE STATION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, there is included within the Little Rock Housing Authority' s
Livestock Show Area Urban Renewal Project, ARK R-2, certain land des-
cribed as
The West one-half of Lots 8,9, and 10, and the South one
and one-half feet of the West one-half of Lot 7, Block 32,
ADAMS ADDITION to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas; and
The East one-half of the South one-half of Lot 6 and the
East one-half of Lots 7, 8, and 9, and the North 20 feet
of the East one-half of Lot 10, all in Block 32, ADAMS
ADDITION to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, said Authority proposes to acquire said land in carrying
out the purposes of the Urban Renewal Plan for said Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has need for said land for use
as a location for a fire station on West Roosevelt Road, and will soon
have funds available for such purposes from the proceeds of a bond
issue approved November 4, 1958;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOA JD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that :
Section 1. The City of Little Rock hereby expresses its interest
in acquiring said above-described land from the Housing Authority of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas for development and public use as a
site for a municipal fire station to serve said Livestock Show Area
Project, the consideration to be paid therefor to be the fair market
value thereof as agreed upon between the City and said Authority.
Section 2. That the City hereby requests said Housing Authority
to acquire said above-described land for the purpose aforesaid.
Section 3. A certified copy of this Resolution be furnished said
Housing Authority by the City Clerk.
