2218 RESOLUTION NO . 2218
A RESOLUTION CREATING THE FINANCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
TO BE APPOINTED BY THE MAYOR FROM MEMBERS OF THE BOARD
OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES THEREOF;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Finance
recommend the appointment of a Finance Advisory Committee
composed of members of the Board of Directors to assist
generally in an advisory capacity the financial affairs of
the City of Little Rock both as to revenues and expenditures;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desire to take advantage
of every means available to provide for the most efficient
operation of the City government;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby created the Finance Advisory
Committee of the City of Little Rock to be composed of three (3)
members of the Board of Directors to be chosen by the Mayor .
SECTION 2. Said committee shall study and advise with the
Board of Directors, the City Manager and Director of Finance
budget controls by making a periodic monthly check and reports
thereon, taking into account the matter of anticipated revenues
and expenditures of said City; the matter of purchasing generally
including procedure; and further, make recommendations regarding
employment of independent auditors for the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
from and after its adoption .
