RESOLUTION NO . 2183
A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON THE CLOSING OF
A PORTION OF ARTHUR STREET SITUATED BETWEEN BLOCK 14 AND BLOCK
15 , PLEASANT HILLS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND
WHICH EXTENDS NORTH FROM "H" STREET TO "I" STREET ; PROVIDING
FOR THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICES THEREOF ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES :

WHEREAS , a petition was filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas , on the 2nd day of January,
1958, asking that the Board of Directors vacate and abandon
that portion of Arthur Street contiguous to, and dividing
Blocks 14 and 15 , Pleasant Hills Addition to the City of Little
Rock, the portion of said street to be vacated and closed being
more particularly described as follows :
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Block
14, Pleasant Hills Addition to the City of
Little Rock, run thence South along the east
line of Block 14 to the Southeast corner of
said Block 14 ; thence run east to the South-
west corner of Block 15 of said Pleasant Hills
Addition ; thence run North along the west line
of Block 15 to the Northwest corner thereof ;
thence run West to the point of beginning;
said petition being signed by all the owners of property abutt-
ing upon that portion of said street to be vacated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS , that the 17th day of
February 1958, be fixed as the date for hearing the
petition to vacate the above described portion of Arthur Street
and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such
hearing by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks
in some newspaper published in Pulaski County, and having a
general circulation in the City of Little Rock. The notice
shall state the names of the persons who signed the petition and
the name of the street to be vacated shall be identified as
hereinabove described. All persons shall be advised that on
the certain day shown in the notice, the Board of Directors
will determine whether or not the above described portion of
said street should be vacated.
