2126 RESOLUTION NO. 2126 A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FORA HEARING ON A PETITIOg TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLOSE A PORTION OF THE ALLEY RUNNING ORIGINAL CITY NORTH AND SOUTH IN BLOCK 282, TN THE (.XXX Ui LITTLE RUCK, N]) ARKANSAS; A F(UPHER PURPOSES WHEREAS, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and Rev. W. E. Hayes, Pastor, P. B. Stewart, Chairman of the Deacon Board, Paul L. Dorton, Chairman of the Trustee Board, and other officers and members have filed with the Little Rock City Council, a petition praying that the portion of the alley Original City in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas located in Block 282/ ant4 - running north and south between 15th Street on the south, 14th Street on the north, Ringo Street on the east, and Cross Street on the west, immediately contiguous to and in the rear of Lots 11 & 12 of said Block 282, and is more particularly described in said petition, and the plats attached thereto, be vacated, abandoned and closed, and have alleged that they are the sole owners of the aforesaid real property abutting upon said portion of the alley to be closed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the 7th day of January , 195 7 _ at 8 P. I. in the Council chambers is the date fixed for the hearing on this petition. Section 2. That the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas give notice of such hearing by publication, once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in the County and having a general circulation in the City, stating in said notice the name of the petitioners, a description of the alley to be vacated, and a description of the abutting real property, and advising all persons that on the date named above, the Council will hear the petition and determine whether said portion of the said street shall be vacated.
