RESOLUTION NO. 2116
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
QUITCLAIM DEED TO LYNN C. ROWE FOR LOT 7, BLOCK 14, SPRINGDALE
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Sewer Improvement District #100 received a Warranty Deed from
J. S. McDonnell and Susie B. McDonnell, his wife, dated April 18, 1927, and
recorded May 23, 1927, in Book 188, page 401 of the Deed Records of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, to the following described lands situated in Little Rock,
Pulaski Cyounty, Arkansas, to-wit:
Lot 7, Block 14, Springdale Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas
and,
WHEREAS, Sewer Improvement District x100 installed a septic tank on the
above described land, and that when said District was paid out in 1944, the
septic tank and sewer system was taken over by the City of Little pock, and
WHEREAS, the septic tank and the land on which it stands isno longer
needed by the City of Little Rock, but has been abandoned by it, and which has
been in adverse possession of Lynn C Rowe and his predecessors in title for
more than 20 years, and who have paid the taxes on said lands for such time,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that
the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute a quitclaim deed to the said
Lynn C. Rowe, for the following described land, situated in Little Rock,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, to-wit:
Lot 7, Block 14, Springdale Addition to City of Little Rock, Arkansas
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Little Rock, Arkansas shall retain
the right to use any or all sewer lines running across said lands together with
reasonable right to ingress and egress over said lands to maintain said lines.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption by the City Council and approval by the
Mayor.
