RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR THE HEARING OF
A PETITION TO VACATE A STRIP OF LAND 10 FEET
WIDE AND 132 FEET LONG IMMEDIATELY NORTH AND
ADJACENT TO HIGH POINT ADDITION AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING
BY PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council

of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the day of
July, 1956 , asking the City Council to vacate and
abandon the following street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to-wit:
A strip of land 10 feet wide North and South
by 132 feet long East and West immediately
North of and adjacent to the North line 6E Lot
8, High Point Addition to the City of Little
Rock;

WHEREAS, all of the owners of property abutting upon the
joVth side of said portion of said street have signed said petition;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, That the 23rd day of July , 1956 a
regular meeting day of this Council, is hereby fixed as the date
for the hearing of the aforementioned petition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby directed to give notice of such meeting by publication once
a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in
Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the
City of Little Rock; the notice shall (a) state the names of the
persons who signed the petition; (b) state the name or description
of the street and portion thereof to be vacated; and (c) advise
all persons that on the day hereinabove named the Council will
hear and determine whether said street should be vacated.
