A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
APPROVING THE JOINING OF THE TOWN OF ALEXANDER, ARKANSAS,
IN THE AGREEMENT FOR JOINT PLANNING COOPERATION BETWEEN
PULASKI COUNTY, THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, THE CITY OF NORTH
LITTLE ROCK, THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, AND OTHER PUBLIC
BODIES IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS,
WHEREAS, The City of Little Rock is a party to the Agreement
for Joint Planning Cooperation between Pulaski County, the City of
Little Rock, the City of North Little Rock, the City of Jacksonville,
and other public bodies in Pulaski County, entered into on March 3 ,
1955, and
WHEREAS, This Agreement for Joint Planning Cooperation pro-
vides under Article 8 of the Agreement for the addition of other
public bodies operating within the area covered by the Joint Planning
Cooperation; and
WHEREAS, The Town of Alexander, a Municipality operating
within the area of this Joint Cooperation, has by resolution of its
City Council on 4p44410; Jilt joined in the Agreement for Joint
Planning Cooperation; and
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission of Pulaski
County, established under this Agreement has , at its meeting on "Y :,
LP, i9.6i 6 approved the joining of the Town of Alexander in the Met-
ropolitan Area Planning Commission, and has recommended to the parties
to the Agreement, that the Agreement be amended, as provided under
Article 8 of the Agreement, for the joining of the Town of Alexander
in the Agreement .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
That the recommendation of the Metropolitan Area Planning Com-
mission is hereby adopted and that the joining of the Town of Alexander
in the Agreement for Joint Planning Cooperation is hereby approved;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Little Rock approves amendment of the Agreement for Joint Plan-
ning Cooperation to provide for representation of the Town of Alexander,
Arkansas, in the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission of Pulaski
County as set forth in the maintenance of the Metropolitan Area Planning
Commission.
