2095 RESOLUTION NO. 2095
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
APPROVING THE JOINING OF THE LITTLE ROCK SPECIAL SCHOOL
DISTRICT, THE NORTH LITTLE ROCK SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT,
AND THE PULASKI COUNTY SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE
AGREEMENT FOR JOINT PLANNING COOPERATION BETWEEN PULASKI
COUNTY, THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, THE CITY OF NORTH LITTLE
ROCK, THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, THE TOWN OF CAMMACK VILLAGE,
AND OTHER PUBLIC BODIES IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, The City of Little Rock, Arkansas , is a party to
the Agreement for Joint Planning Cooperation Between Pulaski County,
the City of Little Rock, the City of North Little Rock, the City of
Jacksonville , and other public bodies in Pulaski County, entered
into on March 3, 1955, and
WHEREAS, This Agreement for Joint Planning Cooperation pro-
vides, under Article 8 of the Agreement, for the addition of other
public bodies operating within the area covered by the Joint Plan-
ning Cooperation; and
WHEREAS, The following school boards, operating within the
area of this joint cooperation, have, by resolution at meetings on
the dates hereinafter indicated, joined in the Agreement for Joint
Planning Cooperation :
Little Rock Special School District on September 29 , 1955
North Little Rock Special School District on September 7, 1955
Pulaski County Special School District on September 2, 1955;
And WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission of
Pulaski County, established under this Agreement has, at its meet-
ing on January 13 , 1956 , approved the joining of the Little Rock
Special School District , the North Little Rock Special School Dis-
trict, and the Pulaski County Special School District in the Metro-
politan Area Planning Commission, and has recommended to the parties
to the Agreement, that the Agreement be amended, as provided under
Article 8 of the Agreement , for the joining of the Little Rock
Special School District, the North Little Rock Special School Dis-
trict , and the Pulaski County Special School District in the
Agreement .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
That the recommendation of the Metropolitan Area Planning
Commission is hereby adopted and that the joining of the Little Rock
Special School District, the North Little Rock Special School Dis-
trict, and the Pulaski County Special School District in the Agree-
ment for Joint Planing Cooperation is hereby approved:

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, approves amendment of the Agree-
ment for Joint Planning Cooperation to provide for representation
of the Little Rock Special School District Board, the North Little
Rock Special School District Board, and the Pulaski County Special
School District Board on the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission
of Pulaski County as set forth in the maintenance of the Metropoli-
tan Area Planning Commission.
