A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR A HEARING ON A
PETITION TO CLOSE AND VACATE A PORTION OF THE
PLATTED ALLEY IN BLOCK 2, STRONG & WATERS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
uâ– THEREAS, Mrs. Mary Bain Sherrill, Dr. Paul L. Mahoney
and Mrs . Gladys B. Mahoney, his wife, have filed with the Little
Rock City Council a petition praying that so much of the platted
alley as lies between Lots 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 of Block 2 ,
Strong x Waters Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be
vacated and closed and have alleged that they are the owners of
the aforesaid real property abutting upon said alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
LITTLE ROCK , ARKANSAS :
Section 1. That the 23rd day of April , 1956 ,
at 8:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers, is the date fixed for the
hearing on this petition.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk give notice of such
hearing by publication, once a week for two consecutive weeks, in
some newspaper published in the County and having a general cir -
culation in the City, stating in said notice the name of the
petitioners , a description of the alley and a description of the
abutting real property and advising all persons that on the date
named above, the Council will hear the petition and determine
whether said portion of the alley shall be vacated.
