A RESOLUTION FIXING A DAY FOR HEARING OF PETITION OF JOE
EDDS & OTHERS, TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PART OF VAN BUREN
STREET AND THAT PORTION OF AN ALLEY BETWEEN LOTS 6 & 7,
BLOCK 2, WESTERN HILLS SUBDIVISION OF LOT 6, BLOCK 2, HYDE
PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE THEREOF ACCORDING TO LAW.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the City
Council of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 12th day of March,
1956, requesting the City Council to vacate and abandon a
street platted as Van Buren Street, running North and South
between West 23rd Street and West 24th Street, in the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, and close that portion of an
alley running East and West, which is contiguous. Lots 6
and 7, Block 2, Western Hills Subdivision of Lot 6, Block
2, Hyde Park Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, the Petition conforms in all respects to the
laws of the State of Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
That on the 9th day of April, 1956, be and it hereby
is fixed as the day for the hearing of the Petition; and
That the City Clerk of the City of Little Rosk, Arkansas,
give notice thereof by publication once a week for two consecu-
tive weeks in the Arkansas Gazette , a newspaper publish-
ed Pulaski County and having generaD. circulation in the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, said notice to state the name of the
signers of the Petition, to identify the street by the abutting
lot numbers, and to advise all persons that on the above
mentioned date the Council will hear and determine whether
the street shall be vacated; and
That this Resolution take effect from and after its
adoption the City Clerk being hereby directed to do the above
mentioned things forthwith.
