A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RE )CATION OF THE PRESENT SANITATION DEPARTMENT
GARAGE AND THE 4-RESENT ELECTRIC C DEPARTMENT CITY LIGHT PLANT TO RESIDUE OF LANLS
ACQUIRED IN THE RIVERFRu'T DRIVE PROJECT NOT NEEDED FAR RIVERFRONT DRIVE RIGHT_
OF WAY) AND FOit Olkithi PURPOSES.
AREAS, the present Sanitation Department Garage and the present Electric
Department City Light Plant are located on lands needed for right-of-way of the
Riverfront T)rive; and
-QA', in the acquisition of other lands for said Riverfront Drive and
right-of-way, it has been necessary to purchase some properties of greater area
than is actually needed for said right-of-way, which residual properties would
normally be sold at public sale; and
4HE:rc,c1iS, it is deemed proper and advisable that certain lands previously
acquired and hereafter mentioned be retained by the City for municipal use, the
said lands not being needed for said right-of-way;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Sanitation Department of the City of Little Rock is hereby
authorized to relocate its garage on the following property of this city, to wit:
That part of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 136, City of Little Rock, lying South of
the South right-of-way line of the right-of-way of Riverfront Drive, and that
part of Lots 5 and 6, Block 136, City of Little Rock, lying between the South
right-of-way line of the Riverfront Drive, and the South 40' of Lots 5 and 6.
SECTION 2. The Electric Department of the City of Little Rock is hereby
authorized to relocate its City Light Plant on the following property of the
City, to-wit: That part of Lots 2, 3 and Li, Block 139, City of Little Rock, lying
South of the South right-of-way line of the Riverfront Drive and the West 61' of
Lot 1, Block 139, City of Little Rock, lying South of the South right-of-way line
of the Riverfront Drive.
