A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR THE HEARING OF A
PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN
BLOCK 4, BELLEVUE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO
GIVE NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING BY PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on July 26, 1954, asking the City
Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of the east-west alley
in the west half of Block 4, Bellevue Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, as shown on the plat of Bellevue Addition now ap-
pearing of record in Plat Book / , page ��/ , in the
office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the owner of all property abutting upon said portion
of said alley has signed said petition; now, therefore ,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the 16 day of August , 1954,
being a regular meeting day of this Council, is hereby fixed as the
day for the hearing of the aforementioned petition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to give notice of such meeting by publication once a week for
two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock;
said notice shall (a ) state the name of the person who signed the
petition, (b) describe the alley or portion thereof to be vacated,
and (c ) advise all persons that on the date hereinabove named the
Council will hear and determine whether said portion of said alley
shall be vacated .
