A RESOLUTION FIXING THE DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION
TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF THE ALLEY RUNNING EAST AND
WEST AND ALL THAT PORTION OF THE ALLEY RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH
IN BLOCK 2 OF WINIrniED ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK-
ANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petiton was duly filed by Little Rock Builders, Inc., and
Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas on the 12th day of July, 1954, asking that the City Council
vacate and abandon a portion of the alley running east and west, and all that
portion of the alley running north and south in Block Two (2) of Winifred
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, That the 26 day/Of July , 1954 be fixed as
the date for the hearing upon the petition to vacate and abandon the aforesaid
portion of the alleys running north and south and a portion of the alley running
east and west in Block Two (2), Winifred's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, which is bounded on the west by the west line of said Block 2, on
the north by the south line of L is 1, 2 and 3, and on the south by the north
line of Lot 14, and on the east by an extension of the east line of said Lot
3; also that portion running north and south bounded on the north by thenorth
line of B ock 14, on the south by the south line of said Block 2, on the west
by the east boundary line of Lots 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14, and on the east by
the west line of L::ts 7, 8 and 9; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give
notice of said meeting by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in
some newspaper published in Pulaski County and having a general circulation in
the City of L ttle Rock, Arkansas. The notice shall state the names of the
signers of said petition and the name or description of the portion of the alleys
to be vacated and abandoned, and advise all persons that on a said day therein
named, the Council will hear and determine whether the alleys shall be vacated.
