RESOLUTION NO. 2011
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF
PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO NEGO11ATE WITH THE OWNER FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A PART OF LOT 9, ALL OF LOT 10, AND A
IN BLOCK 9, FART u±' LOT 11,/.oODGE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LIT-
TLE ROCK, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, TO BE USED BY
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK IN STRAIGHTENING EAST 15TH
STREET, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHL'N.EAS, the Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
desires to straighten and improve East 15th Street, Little Rock,
Arkansas, just East of the right-of-way of the Chicago, Rock
Island &c Pacific Railroad Company; and
WHEREAS, in order to make such improvements, it is neces-
sary that the City acquire from Cora 4. Loore the following
described real property in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, to-wit:
part of Lot 9, all of Lot 10, and a part of Lot 11,
in Block 9, DODGE ADDITION to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas , more particularly described as fol-
lows :
Begin at the YW corner of Lot 11; from point of be-
ginning run South along the -West side of Lots 10 and
11, a distance of 100 feet to a point being the
Southwest corner of Lot 10; thence run East along
the South line of Lot 10, a distance of 62.32 feet
to a point; thence run South 56 degrees 55 minutes
East across Lot 9, a distance of 52. 65 feet to a
point on the East line of Lot 9, said point being
28.57 feet South of NE corner of Lot 9 ; thence
North along the East side of Lots 9 and 10, a dis-
tance of 76 .57.57 feet to a point being the NE corner
of Lot 10; thence run West along the North side of
Lot 10, a distance of 29.21 feet to a point; thence
run North 56 degrees 55 minutes West, a distance of
92.22 feet to the point of beginning; containing
0. 189 acres , more or less ; and
j. REAS, the Council has heretofore directed the City At-
torney to file condemnation proceedings against the owner of
such property; and
WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Arkansas require that
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , negotiate with the owner
for the purchase of said property before filing an action to
said,
condemn a. property for public purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1. That the Board of public Affairs of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, be and is hereby requested and di-
rected to negotiate with Cora A. joore, owner, for the pur-
chase of the above described real property.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption by the City Council and
approval of the Mayor.
