RESOLUTION NO. 2008
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING AND AUTHORIZING 0. D. LONGS'T'KETH,
JR. , CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
TO INTERVENE IN AN APPLICATION OF THE ARKANSAS-LOUISIANA
GAS COMPANY FOR HIGHER RATES, WHICH IS FILED AS DOCKET
NO. U-952 BEFORE THE ARKANSAS PUBLIC SERVICE CONI1ISSION,
ON BEHALF OF THE CITIZENS OF TEE CITY OF LI`T'TLE ROCK AND
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, REQUESTING THE CITY CLERK TO
FURNISH A CERTIFIEED COPY OF SAID RESOLUTION TO THE CITY.
ATTORNEY FOR FILING WITH THE ARKANSAS PUBLIC SERVICE
COMMISSION, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a new rate schedule was filed by the Arkansas-
Louisiana Gas Company as of May 15, 1954; and
WHEREAS, under Section 1 of Rule 2 of the Rules of Prac-
tice and Procedure of the Arkansas public Service Commission
it is necessary that the City Council of the City of Little
Rock pass a Resolution directing and authorizing the City Attor-
ney to intervene on behalf of the citizens of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas who are consumers of gas supplied by said Company and of
the City of Little Rock in this matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEJE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. That O. D. Longstreth, Jr. , City Attorney for
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be and he is hereby directed,
authorized and empowered to intervene, on behalf of residents of
the City of Little Rock who are consumers of gas supplied by the
Arkansas-Louisiana Gas Company and of the City of Little Rock,
in an application of the Arkansas-Louisiana Gas Company for
higher rates, which is filed as Docket No. U-952 before the Ark-
ansas Public Service Commission.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is hereby requested to fur-
nish said O. D. Longstreth, Jr. , City Attorney, with a certified
copy of this Resolution so that he may attach it to any interven-
tion which he may find it necessary to file in Docket No. U-952
before the Arkansas Public Service Commission.

SECTION 3 . That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
