1989 RESOLUTION NO . 1989
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING 0. D. LONG-
STRETH, JR. , CITY ATTORNEY, OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO INTERVENE IN DOCKET NO. U-899
BEFORE THE ARKANSAS PUBLIC SERVICE COYEISSION ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a new rate schedule was filed by the Southwestern
Bell Telephone Company as of November 23, 1953 ; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the City of Little Rock be
represented on a hearing in this matter ; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of Little Rock
pass a Resolution authorizing and directing the City Attorney
to intervene on behalf of the City of Little Rock in this
matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. That 0. D. Longstreth, Jr. , City Attorney for
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be and he is hereby empow-
ered and directed to intervene on behalf of the City of Little
Rock in Docket No. U-899 before the Arkansas Public Service
Commission.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption b; the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
