1878 RESOLUTION NO. 1878 A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR THE HEARING OF A PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF NORTH JACKSON STREET AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING BY PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on June 26, 1950, asking the City Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of North Jackson Street designated on the plat of Newton A ddition to the said City, now appearing of record in Plat Book , page in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, as "Terry Street," beginning at the south line of Country Club Boulevard (designated "Circle Avenue" on said plat) and ending at the north line of Stonewall Road (desig- nated "Star Avenue" on said plat) ; and WHEREAS, all of the owners of property abutting upon said portion of said street have signed said petition; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that the , 24th day of July, 1950, being a regular meeting day of this Council, is hereby fixed as the day for the hearing of the aforementioned pe tition. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to give notice of such meeting by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Pulaski County and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock. The notice shall (a) state the names of the persons who signed the petition; (b) state the name of the street and portion thereof to be vacated; and ( c) advise all persons that on the day hereinabove named the Council will hear and determine whether the street shall be vacated.
