A RESOLUTIJN FIXING THE DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A
PETITION TO VACATE AND ABANDON THAT PORTION OF THE
ALLEY RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH BETWEEN STEMPEL'S
ADDITION AND REUTLINGER'S ADDITION IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, Bi DED ON .THE NORTH BY THE
SOUTH BOUNDARY OF LAFAYETTE STREET AND ON THE SOUTH
BY AN EXTENSION OF THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT SIX, STEMPEL'S
ADDITION; PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION(F THE NOTICES
THEREOF: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a oetition was duly filed by Hugh E. Blevins and
Mary B. Blevins, his wife, and Sam Mitchell and Ruby Lois Mitchell, his
wife, with the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the
5 day of June , 1950, asking that the City Council vacate and
abandon all that portion of the alley running north and south b etween Stempel's
Addition and Reutlinger's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
bounded on the north by the south boundary of Lafayette Street and on the
south by an extension of the south line of Lot Six, Stempel's Addition,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that the 26 day of June , 1950, be
fixed as the date for the hearing upon the petition to vacate and abandon
the aforesaid oortion of said alley lying between Stempel's and Reutlinger's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, bounded onthe north by the
south boundary of Lafayette Street and on the south by an extension of the
south line of hot Six, Stempel' s Addition, and Ale City Clerk is hereby
directed to give notice of said meeting by publication once a week for two
consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Pulaski County and having a
general circulation in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. The notice shall
state the names of the persons who sign the petition and the name orcbscription
of the pJrtion of the alley to be vacated and advise all persons that on a
said day therein named, the Council will hear and determine whether the portion
of the street shall be vacated.
