13686 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,686 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE LEASE OF PROPERTY 4 OWNED BY ACTS, INC., LOCATED AT 4200 JOHN BARROW ROAD, 5 SUITES C AND D, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO 6 PROVIDE AN ALERT CENTER FOR ONE (1)-YEAR WITH AN OPTION 7 TO RENEW THE LEASE FOR ONE (1) ADDITIONAL YEAR, FOR AN 8 ANNUAL RENTAL FEE OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED 9 DOLLARS ($15,600.00); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, ACTS, Inc., owns property with improvements located at 4200 John Barrow Road, in 12 Little Rock, Arkansas,and is willing to lease a portion of the property to the City of Little Rock for use 13 as a neighborhood alert center; and, 14 WHEREAS, ACTS, Inc., offered to lease this property to the City of Little Rock for an annual rental 15 fee of Fifteen Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars ($15,600.00), payable in monthly installments of One 16 Thousand, Three Hundred Dollars($1,300.00); and, 17 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Board of Directors recognizes the importance of providing an alert 18 center in the John Barrow area. 19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with 22 ACTS, Inc., in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, for the lease of real property and 23 improvements located at 4200 John Barrow Road, Suites C and D, in Little Rock for use as a 24 Neighborhood Alert Center for one (1) year with an option to renew the lease one (1) time for an 25 additional one (1)-year term, for a monthly rental fee of One Thousand, Three Hundred Dollars 26 ($1,300.00). 27 Section 2. Funds for the total annual rental fee of Fifteen Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars 28 ($15,600.00)are available from Housing and Neighborhood Programs Account 103539. 29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the IPage 1 of 21 1 resolution. 2 Section 4. Repealer.
