3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH NORTH POINT FORD FOR THE
5 PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) FORD PICK-UP TRUCKS, FOR USE BY THE
6 PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT
7 OF SIXTY-NINE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED TWENTY-THREE
8 DOLLARS ($69,923.00), UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE
9 PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is in need of four (4) Pick-Up Trucks to replace
12 aging vehicles with high mileage and continuously increasing maintenance fees; and,
13 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract, the Fleet Services Department is
14 authorized to purchase four (4) Ford Pick-Up Trucks, to include one (1) F-150 at a cost of Seventeen
15 Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventeen Dollars ($17,717.00), and three (3) F-250's at a cost of Seventeen
16 Thousand, Four Hundred Two Dollars (17,402.00) each, for a total cost for the four (4) vehicles being
17 Sixty-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars ($69,923.00), to be used by the Parks and
18 Recreation Department.
19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
22 North Point Ford, utilizing the Arkansas State Contract, for the purchase of four(4) Ford Pick-Up Trucks,
23 for the use of the Parks and Recreation Department, to include one (1) F-150 at a cost of Seventeen
24 Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventeen Dollars ($17,717.00), and three (3) F-250's at a cost of Seventeen
25 Thousand, Four Hundred Two Dollars (17,402.00) each, for a total cost for the four vehicles being Sixty-
26 Nine Thousand,Nine Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars($69,923.00).
27 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2012 3/8-Cent Capital Improvements Sales
28 Tax Funding.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
2 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
