A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION
TO ABANDON FILMORE STREET BETWEEN LEE STREET AND C STREET, SAID
STREET BEING BETWEEN BLOCK 1 and BLOCK 2 OF FAUSETT'S SUBDIVISION
OF LOT 1 OF HOWARD ADAMS AND R . D. PLUNKETT'S SUBDIVISION, AN
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS : PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION OF NOTTCES THEREOF; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by Fausett Builders, Inc. , and
Harlace L. Bryant and Maggie Y. Bryant with the City Council of the
City of Little Rock on the 25 day of July, 1949, requesting
the City Council to abandon Filmore Street between Lee Street and
C. Street and between Blocks 1 and 2 of Fausett ' s Subdivision, an
Addition to the City of Little Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that the 8 day of August
1949, be fixed as the date for the hearing upon the petition to
abandon the- afore-mentioned section of rilmore Street between Lee
Street and C Street and between Block 1 and Block 2 of Fausett' s
Subdivision of Lot 1, Howard Adams ' and R. D. Plunkett' s Sub-
division, an Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the
City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such meeting and
hearing by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in
some newspaper published in 'ulaski County and having a general
circulation in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. The notice shall
state the names of the persons who sign the petition; shall describe
the street to be vacated by designating the abutting lots or block
numbers; and advise all persons that on the date named the Council
Will hear anetli;termine whether the said street shall be vacated.
